RECENT PROJECTS

(these only highlight the wide variety of services and projects that we regularly undertake). For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us. For a breif review of 2012 please click here.

Non-Tankers : At the request of clients, we have diversified our services to include bulk carriers, general cargo and container chips.

TECHNICAL WRITER: Captain Adamson spent most of 2011 helping BP Shipping re-write their Marine Operating Manual System. THe procedures were all written in Plain English and some, inlcuding navigation watch-keeping, were awarded the Plain English Crystal Mark.

ADVERSE WEATHER: We were recently asked to investigate damage caused by severe weather. The project required a root cause investigation, operational improvement notices and being in a position to help legal counsel as required.

POLLUTION PREVENTION: Passionate about environmental awareness, we, along with our customers, continuously strive to improve environmental awareness, by undertaking near miss investigations, identifying root cause and proposing corrective action.

OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY: Undertaking voyage audits, which include navigational audits and onboard training, we independently, objectively and impartially offer bespoke services to help customers attain and retain that competitive edge, using current and continuously updated techniques to help monitor and bench mark in an extremely competitive global market. When we "fleet audit" we bench mark internally and externally.

MANAGEMENT AUDITS: Our experience continues to tell us that when things start to go wrong, when targets aren't reached, or when adverse publicity is generated, it's a management problem. They simply aren't in touch with their business. Our management audits are extremely popular and give an unbiased, independent, objective and impartial assessment of your system.

NEW KID ON THE BLOCK: An investment of upwards of $100 million in a new ship is considerable. Then she has to sail away and earn her keep! We sail onboard, undertaking training and providing management support to help ensure that the investment bears fruit and that the new additions to the fleet are brought up to "speed" as soon as is possible. Regular visits ensure that best practice is always in place and - just as important- ensures that the management team's time is spent managing.

INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS: We work with our customers to improve their management systems. By taking a holistic approach, and acknowledging that every company is different, we provide bespoke solutions that encompass all aspects of management. These include, but are not limited to: Change management/brand & asset protection/Safety & quality/Customer satisfaction/internal auditing/industry bench marking/ training & a 24/7 help line.
