Welcome to the Salopian Steamship Company. Whilst the Salopian Steamship Company is ficticious, it provides us with a perfect vehicle to promote some of what we do. Whilst the ships are ficticious, the information contained in the reports and data is not. Data is presented in a variety of ways, to allow management to effectively and accurately assess cause and effect. To this end, strategic business decisions can be made with more confidence. History
The Salopian Steamship company was "founded" in 1989 when, at the request of an Oil Major, formal ship inspections were commenced. The Salopian Steamship company consequently concentrated on tankers:- Oil, Chemical and LPG. These ships were used to promote the information generated and to provide an independent, objective and inpartial platform on which Safety of Life at Sea and the protection of the Environment could be promoted. In addition, it gave us the ability to publish data in a manner which was clear, concise and consistent.
As we have developed, grown and matured, so have the projects we have undertaken. As a direct result, the Salopian Steamship fleet diversified and now includes virtually every type of sea-going and harbour craft.
Some particular examples are our expansion into Containers, Bulk, LNG operations, Terminal Auditing and off-shore operations.
